I stumbled upon the West 4th Street Courts on a ramble around the Greenwich Village area of New York. Its known as a mecca of street basketball and has a smaller than regulation court size which leads to a more aggressive and physical game. Plenty of the greats have learned their trade here. Great fun to photograph as the players are all characters in their own right and play up to the camera.
